For me, Phaa Nong stands out for three things: its very low prices, the delicious pork and house dipping sauce, and its practical location for visitors staying around Soi Buakhao.

Among the Mookata buffets I’ve visited in Pattaya, Phaa Nong is one of the most affordable. The child pricing is also unusual, with children from 91–130 cm paying just 89 THB and children under 90 cm eating free. The restaurant also often feels busy, giving me the impression that it is a popular choice with local families.
Delicious Pork & House Dipping Sauce:
The pork is one of my favorite parts of the meal, with a good flavor when grilled on the Mookata pan. I also really like the house dipping sauce. It has a sweet and slightly tangy flavor with some spice, making it easy to enjoy with the grilled pork.
Practical from Soi Buakhao:
Phaa Nong is not directly on a regular songthaew route, but it is still within practical walking distance from a suitable drop-off point around the Soi Buakhao area. Personally, I often take a Bolt to the restaurant and use a songthaew for the return trip. Of course, the best option depends on where you are staying, but this makes Phaa Nong surprisingly convenient for me.

From outside, you can easily see the dining area and BBQ grills, so the restaurant feels approachable even if it’s your first visit.

Phaa Nong has a strong local feel, and this is one of the things I notice most when I visit.

🔥 Usually Busy in the Evening
Another impression I have is that Phaa Nong is consistently busy, especially in the evening. The location may be part of the reason, but whenever I visit, there are usually plenty of customers.
Because the restaurant is not particularly large, it can be full at busy times, so you may have to wait for a table.
🍖 Small but Well Managed
The restaurant is relatively compact, but I’ve noticed the staff keeping a close eye on the buffet area and refilling the ingredients regularly. Even when there are many customers, the staff seem to pay attention to what is running low.
There is also another Mookata restaurant right next door with a similar buffet style and similar pricing. Personally, though, I prefer the pork at Phaa Nong.
