Pattaya isn’t just about its crowded main beach.
Scattered along the coastline are quiet, scenic shorelines known mostly to locals — and each offers a refreshing change of atmosphere.
🏖️ Wong Amat Beach (Naklua 18)

🟦 Overview – A Quiet, Local-Friendly Beach in Northern Pattaya
Wong Amat Beach sits just north of the busy Pattaya Beach, but the atmosphere is completely different.
It’s quieter, cleaner, and often visited by locals, families, and long-stay foreigners who prefer a more relaxed seaside experience.
Soft sand, gentle waves, and a long beachfront make it ideal for walking, taking photos, or spending a slow afternoon away from the crowds.
🟦 Vibe – Calm, Scenic, and Less Touristic

Unlike the main beach, you won’t find loud water sports or aggressive vendors here.
Instead, you’ll see people enjoying quiet swims, couples taking photos, and locals relaxing near the palm trees.
The beach is also popular among:
- long-stay expats
- Thai families
- people visiting Terminal 21 area
- café hoppers heading toward Naklua 18
🟦 How to Get There – Enter via Naklua 18

The easiest access is through Naklua 18 (Soi 18).

Access Tips
- From Terminal 21: 3–5 minutes by motorbike or car
- From Pattaya Beach Road: about 10 minutes
- Songthaews run frequently along the main Naklua Road
- Walkable if staying nearby (Dusit, Centara, etc.)
This entrance is straightforward and safe, making it one of the most convenient “quiet beach” spots in Pattaya.
🟦 Food Spots – Sashimi Secret Beach (Right by the Sand)

One highlight near the beach is Sashimi Secret Beach Naklua 18, a small but popular oceanfront spot.
What to enjoy there:
- fresh seafood
- Thai dishes
- cold drinks
- casual beachside atmosphere
The location is perfect for grabbing a bite after walking the beach or watching the waves.
🟦 Photography Spots – From Sandy Shore to Rocky Views
Wong Amat Beach offers two distinct photography styles:
📌 1. The open sandy beach

Ideal for:
- wide landscape shots
- people walking along the shoreline
- minimalist water-and-sky compositions
📌 2. The rocky cove on the south side

This spot has unique, rugged rocks and shallow water patterns.
This area isn’t ideal for swimming, but the area is excellent for:
- dramatic coastline photos
- silhouettes during sunset
- detail shots of rocks and tide pools

🌴 Cosy Beach — A Quiet Hidden Spot in Pratumnak

Cosy Beach is a small, peaceful beach located a bit away from Pattaya’s main tourist areas.
It’s popular with travelers who want a calm vibe and a more local feel.
How to Get There (The usual route via Rajchawaroon Road)

To reach Cosy Beach, head down Rajchawaroon Road toward the sea.
Follow the road until you reach the area where several seaside restaurants are located —
this is the common route most visitors use.
- The road is easy to access by car or motorbike
- No songthaew route, so your realistic options are walking, motorbike taxi, or Grab
Once you reach the restaurant area overlooking the water, look for the steep little path that leads directly down to the beach. There are stairs, and the walkway is quite narrow.
Going Down to the Beach (Steep Stairs & Narrow Path)

The path down to Cosy Beach includes:
- Steep stairs
- A narrow downhill slope
- Very slippery ground after rain
You can get down in sandals, but do watch your step.
If you’re writing a travel blog, adding a vertical photo here will help readers understand the slope clearly.
What the Beach Feels Like

Cosy Beach is small and quiet — perfect for relaxing.
You’ll see many Western travelers and long-stay residents enjoying reading, tanning, or just chilling.
- Beach chairs: 100 THB
- Massage: around 300 THB / hour
Facilities are minimal, but the beach has a comfortable, slow-paced vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
Shops & Snacks (Only the Basics)
In the center of the beach, you’ll find a few small local stalls selling:
- Water
- Soft drinks
- Light snacks
That’s about it.
So it’s a good idea to buy drinks beforehand from the fruit stands or convenience stores along Rajchawaroon Road.
The stalls add a local Thai touch, but the selection is limited.
Nearby Restaurants (Great Views from Above the Beach)

One of Cosy Beach’s highlights is the group of restaurants located above the shoreline.
They offer amazing sea views, and many visitors drop by before or after going to the beach.
● The Sky Gallery Pattaya
- Famous for its scenic terrace overlooking the sea
- Serves both Thai and Western dishes
- Perfect spot for sunset

🌴 Paradise Beach Pattaya — A Small, Quiet Spot in Pratumnak

Paradise Beach Pattaya is a small, quiet beach located in the Pratumnak area.
Right next to it is Pratumnak Beach — the two beaches are basically side-by-side, almost like a pair of small coves connected to each other.
On Google Maps, if you walk down Phra Tam Nak 4 Alley and continue down the short, steep staircase,
the right side is Paradise Beach, and the left side is Pratumnak Beach.
They’re extremely close, and you can easily walk between them.
Pratumnak Beach also has direct access from Asia Pattaya Hotel, so hotel guests often use it, giving it a slightly more private feel.
🏝️ Beach Atmosphere

Paradise Beach is overall very calm — a good place for people who just want to relax quietly.
✔ Fewer tourists
You’ll often see Russian and European long-term visitors lying on towels instead of renting chairs.
Beach chairs are available for 100 THB, but they’re not used as much as in other beach areas.
✔ Minimal facilities
There are days when a small vendor shows up, but it’s safer to bring your own drinks.
There’s probably no toilet on the beach.
You can buy drinks and snacks beforehand around Phra Tam Nak 4 Alley, where there are a few small shops and convenience stores.
The Pratumnak Beach side is just as quiet, and many people enjoy walking back and forth between the two beaches.
🚶 How to Get There (No Songthaew Goes Directly to the Beach)

Neither Paradise Beach nor Pratumnak Beach has direct songthaew access.
Realistic ways to get there:
- Car
- Motorbike
- Walking
- Motorbike taxi or Bolt
I Tried Getting There Cheaply — Songthaew + Walking
If you want a budget-friendly way to reach the beach, you can combine a songthaew with a bit of walking. I’m not necessarily recommending this route, but I tried it myself just to see how practical it was.
I hopped off a Jomtien–Pattaya songthaew along Thappraya Road and continued on foot. The walk took around 20 minutes — not too difficult, though the road does go slightly up and down since you’re coming from a hill area. It’s manageable, but wearing a hat or bringing some water definitely helps.

The route I took was:
Thappraya Road(songthaew)→Phra Tamnak Road (on foot)→ Phra Tam Nak 4 Alley (on foot)→ follow the stairs down → left for Pratumnak Beach, right for Paradise Beach
Using Asia Pattaya Hotel as a landmark also makes things much easier, since both beaches sit directly below the hotel area.

🌅 Best Time to Visit
Paradise Beach isn’t flashy, but its charm is the peaceful atmosphere.
The best times are:
- Early morning
- Late afternoon, when the sun is softer
You can enjoy a quiet, relaxing vibe where the only real sound is the waves.
Asia Pattaya Hotel (Extra Info)

Although this article doesn’t go into full detail, Asia Pattaya Hotel, located right by the beaches, is worth knowing about.
- The pool and restaurant area behind the hotel has a great atmosphere
- Pratumnak Beach is just steps away through the hotel grounds
- The hotel even has a short-course golf area, which is rare in Pattaya
(I’ve already written a separate article about the golf course)
It’s enjoyable to walk around the hotel’s back-area surroundings together with your beach visit.

- Asia Pattaya Hotel’s surrounding area has great vibes (and is article-worthy on its own)
Final Overview — Which Quiet Beach Is Best for You?
Pattaya has more to offer than its busy main beach.
These three quiet shorelines each provide a different atmosphere, and choosing the right one depends on the type of experience you want.
✔ Wong Amat Beach — Best for Easy Access & Calm Scenery
A clean, relaxed beach close to Terminal 21 and Naklua.
Great for families, long-stay visitors, and anyone who wants a soft-sand beach without the crowds.
Walking paths and photo spots are excellent.
✔ Cosy Beach — Best for Chill Vibes + Café Hopping
Small, peaceful, and tucked below a cliff.
The beach itself is simple, but the restaurants above offer some of the best sea views in Pattaya.
Perfect if you like relaxing + eating somewhere scenic.
✔ Paradise Beach & Pratumnak Beach — Best for Peaceful, Local Energy
A pair of small, quiet beaches ideal for people who want zero noise and almost no vendors.
Bring your own drinks, take your time, and enjoy the slow atmosphere.
Overall
If Pattaya’s main beach feels too crowded or commercial, these alternative shorelines offer a refreshing change.
Each one gives you a different side of Pattaya — quieter, calmer, and more local than the usual tourist spots.
